http://www.thdev.co.za/

Tongaat Hulett has an unequalled portfolio of some 8 026 developable hectares of land in prime locations in  KwaZulu-Natal.

A large number of developments have been completed, are underway or are in the planning  phases.

These include:

Cornubia

Cornubia, planned in line with sustainable development principles and is designed to provide for KwaZulu-Natal’s largest mixed-use, mixed income, fully-integrated human settlement. It provides for higher densities, a range of income levels and the stimulation of employment and economic opportunities, creating the basis for new housing, schools, clinics and other social infrastructure. Cornubia has emerged as a highly sought after residential and business location, with rapid uptake of commercial and industrial sites by developers, end-users and investors who recognise the development’s attributes.

Cornubia Retail Park is ideal for the property investor seeking exceptional value in a superb location central to the Mount Edgecombe ‘wealth belt’; a location which enjoys first-class and upgraded road access and public transport, a large and economically diverse surrounding population

Bridge City

Bridge City is a new town centre 17 kilometres from the Durban city centre, bridging the communities of Phoenix and Inanda, Ntuzuma and KwaMashu (INK) and linking them into the urban system. This visionary new town serves as the social and commercial centre to an area housing a population of over 800 000 people, who at present have generally poor access to facilities and social services. It is a catalyst for economic growth and the empowerment of surrounding communities by improving their access to public transport and opportunities to work, travel, shop and do business within the INK area, via a symbiotic relationship between the public and private sectors.

Sibaya

Located on the north coast of KwaZulu-Natal, Sibaya is situated approximately 5km north of Umhlanga Rocks and approximately 7km south of the King Shaka International Airport. It has excellent connectivity through the existing national (N2) and provincial highways (M4 & M27) and boasts 5 development nodes which are predominantly zoned for mixed use. Nodes 1 and 5 have spectacular views of the Indian Ocean with the total extent for Node 1 being 121ha and Node 5, 96ha. Located within the development footprint is the Hawaan Forest, a pristine climax dry coastal dune forest, with abundance of buck, bird and insect species.

Zimbali Coastal Resort

Purpose developed as one of the finest coastal residential and resort estates in southern Africa, Zimbali exists as an oasis of stylish living. Over a 12 year period, Zimbali has attracted investment in excess of R5bn and fully realised the vision of Tongaat Hulett and IFA Hotels & Resorts, the joint venture partners responsible for the development since 2003. Zimbali has won numerous international awards for the best integrated resort in Africa and is regarded as the successful example of an integrated resort development in South Africa. The next development Zimbali Lakes is currently in the final stages of planning.

Ridgeside

Located in Umhlanga Rocks on the north coast of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, Ridgeside is a four-phased development that will effectively link the Umhlanga Ridge to the Umhlanga Rocks village. The site consists of 140ha of land nestled within a rough triangle created by Umhlanga Rocks Drive and two major highways, the M4 and the M41.
